What people come to us with
We work from brain systems rather than from labels. The label tells us where to look. It does not tell us what to do.
Cognitive framework
- ADD and ADHDAttention, impulse control and executive function, primarily prefrontal and parietal.
- Apraxia, aphasia and dyslexiaLanguage production, motor planning and the rules of language.
- AnxietyBasal ganglia anxiety thresholds, and the body's inability to drop out of alert.
- Language disordersReceptive and expressive language, morphology, semantics and syntax.
- Learning disordersWorking memory, sequencing and processing speed.
- Auditory processingAuditory discrimination, segmenting, closure and sequential memory.
- Visual processingFigure ground, visual tracking, visual motor integration and processing speed.
- Alzheimer's and memoryRetrieval, working memory and visual sequential memory.
Physiological framework
- Autism spectrum and learning disabilitiesSensory integration, cognitive flexibility and social communication.
- Traumatic brain injury and strokeWhere restorative and compensatory rehabilitation do most of their work.
- Autoimmune and chronic stressSystems locked in chronic stress mode, unable to toggle back to rest.
- Hypertension and migrainePhysiological regulation and the body's idle speed.
- Sleep disorders and tinnitusCircadian rhythm and sleep restoration in the deep limbic system.
- Sensory integrationIntegrating sensory input with physical movement and spatial awareness.
- TraumaNervous system stability and emotional regulation alongside cognitive work.
- DepressionDeep limbic energy levels, mood and sleep restoration.
Why we organise it this way
Two people with the same diagnosis rarely need the same plan.
A label is a starting point, not a treatment. What actually decides the work is which of the seven brain systems is struggling and how that shows up in an ordinary day. That is what the assessment is for, and it is why the same condition can lead to two very different remediation plans.
Questions people ask
My condition is not listed. Can you still help?
Possibly. The framework is built around brain systems rather than around diagnostic labels, so the useful question is which systems are struggling, not which category you fall into. It is worth asking.
Do you diagnose?
Our assessments are structured screening and profiling tools. They identify which neurological systems need support so remediation can be targeted. They are not a substitute for a medical diagnosis.
Do you work with adults and children?
Both. Birth through seniors.
Find out which systems are involved
The assessment is free and it is the only way to answer that question properly.
